Our story
Delicious Indian Street food, inspired by the bustling streets of India, brought to you in a vibrant, friendly, casual atmosphere
The food at Indian Tiffin Room stays true to its roots and is an exciting amalgamation of various regional dishes which are popular in different parts of India. The menu is healthy, clean and rich in flavours. Indian Tiffin Room prides itself on the delicacy of the spice – our food is not influenced by heavily flavoured spices and there are no chilli ratings!
We offer authentic dishes such as our famous ‘Dosa’ (rice pancakes), ‘Thali’ (mini buffet on a plate), an array of Chaats (finger-licking good!), Kebabs, Indo-Chinese food and much more. We have a fully stocked bar, and our cocktails are sublime, influenced by the food with special blends of spice and unusual mixes of spirits – there will be an Indian Tiffin Room take on all your favourites!
Meet the co-founders
Srini & Suresh
Indian Tiffin Room co-founders Srini and Suresh have known each other for over 20 years, whenever they got together, they would muse over their dream of going into business together and opening their own restaurant.
Fast forward to 2013; they felt the time was right. Drawing on their Indian heritage, Srini from Bombay, Suresh from Mysore, this experience allowed them to gather inspiration from the different cuisines within India. They set out to bring the flavours of Indian Street Food to the north of England, introducing a new and exciting concept to the region. They were confident people would embrace something very different to the great British curry house, opening their first Indian Tiffin Room in Cheadle. Restaurant openings in Manchester and Leeds followed.
Indian Tiffin Room is a family, and they want their customers to feel part of the ITR family, to share, chat and enjoy each other’s company whilst experiencing the type of food they grew up on in a modern, vibrant atmosphere.
